Terms & Conditions

MyMobilityScooter.co.uk

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by MyMobilityScooter.co.uk, including the sale and purchase of mobility scooters, website use, valuations, collections, deliveries, demonstrations, warranties, and returns.

By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

“We”, “us”, “our” – MyMobilityScooter.co.uk
“You”, “your” – Any customer using our website or services
“Scooter” – Any mobility scooter bought, sold, inspected, delivered, or valued

2. Valuations & Offers (When You Sell a Scooter to Us)

  • All valuations are based on the information you provide

  • Final offers may change following physical inspection

  • We reserve the right to refuse purchase for any reason, including undisclosed damage or safety concerns

  • You must be the legal owner and authorised to sell the scooter

  • You agree to disclose all known faults, battery issues, repairs, and modifications

3. Payments

  • Payments are made at the time of collection unless agreed otherwise in writing

  • Accepted payment methods include bank transfer or cash

  • Once payment is completed and the scooter is collected, ownership transfers to us immediately

4. Collections & Delivery

  • Free collection applies within our standard service area (typically Kent & Sussex)

  • Collections or deliveries outside this area may incur a fee, agreed in advance

  • Delivery times are estimates and may vary

  • We are not liable for delays caused by couriers, traffic, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control

5. Condition of Used Scooters (When You Buy From Us)

  • All scooters are used unless stated otherwise

  • Minor cosmetic wear should be expected

  • Battery performance varies depending on:

  • user weight

  • terrain

  • temperature

  • battery age and health

  • tyre pressure

Any quoted range or performance figure is an estimate only, not a guarantee.

6. Warranty (Used Scooters)

Warranty Coverage

All used scooters include a limited warranty, with the duration stated on the product listing (typically 90 days).

The warranty covers:

  • Mechanical or electrical faults occurring during normal use

The warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental damage, impacts, drops, or collisions

  • Misuse, neglect, or improper storage

  • Water or weather-related damage

  • Tyres, punctures, or consumable items

  • Cosmetic wear (scratches, scuffs, fading)

  • Modifications or unauthorised repairs

Battery Disclaimer

  • All batteries are tested before sale and must be holding charge at the time of dispatch

  • Battery performance naturally declines over time and varies with use

  • Reduced range is not considered a fault

  • Batteries are only covered if they fail completely (no longer charge or power the scooter at all) within the warranty period

Warranty Repairs (Return-to-Base)

  • This is a return-to-base warranty

  • Scooters must be returned to us for inspection before any repair, replacement, or refund is offered

Faults within the first 30 days:
If a genuine warranty fault occurs within 30 days of delivery, we will cover the cost of collection and return.

Faults after 30 days:
The warranty remains valid; however, the customer is responsible for return delivery costs (or covering our arranged courier cost). We will repair the scooter and return it once complete.

If no fault is found, or the issue is not covered by warranty, delivery and inspection costs may be chargeable.

7. Returns & Refunds

Faulty Goods

If a scooter develops a fault covered by warranty, we will assess the issue and provide a repair, replacement, or refund where appropriate, in line with UK consumer law.

Change-of-Mind Returns

If you decide you no longer want the scooter after delivery (for reasons other than a fault):

  • The buyer is responsible for return delivery costs

  • The scooter must be returned in the same condition as delivered

  • A restocking fee (up to 20%) will be deducted to cover inspection, testing, cleaning, and administration

  • Any damage, missing items, or excessive use will be deducted from the refund

  • Original delivery or collection fees are non-refundable

All returns must be agreed in advance. Unauthorised returns may be refused.

8. Test Drives & Demonstrations

  • Test drives and demonstrations are undertaken at your own risk

  • You confirm that you are able to operate the scooter safely

  • We are not responsible for injury or damage arising during test drives

9. Website Information

  • We aim to keep all information accurate and up to date

  • Errors may occur

  • We reserve the right to correct pricing, descriptions, or availability without notice

  • Images are for guidance and may vary slightly due to lighting or screen display

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses

  • We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, failure to follow instructions, or third-party repairs

  • Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of the scooter

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights.

11. Data Protection

Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

12. Cancellations

  • Orders may be cancelled before dispatch or delivery

  • Once delivered, cancellations are subject to our returns and warranty policy
